Sven Wombwell is an expert on all things landscape and is TV's youngest gardener. He graduated in Garden Design from Capel Manor College and has worked on numerous projects across the country. He has a broad experience of all kinds of gardens but modern designs are a particular favourite.
Summer 2004 will be a busy period for Sven as he's been chosen as the new co-presenter and landscape designer for Five's "House Doctor Inside and Out" and is filming "Turf Wars Celebrity Special" for UKTV Style.
Sven's break into TV gardening came when he designed the first series of Garden ER for UK Style. His crack ER team transformed and rescued a complete mixture of gardens. He has since been in BBC's Garden Invaders and UK Style's Weed It & Reap and Model Gardens. He is now one of UKTV Style's main landscape design stars.
Sven interpreted nine months of research conducted by Marshalls plc, the UK's leading manufacturer of concrete, clay and natural stone paving products, in association with Dragon Brands, a specialist forecasting agency, which looked at future lifestyle trends and how these trends will affect what homeowners want from their gardens and how they want to use them.
Sven was able to translate the insights into tomorrow's society into ideas, practical advice and techniques for creating any one of the ten garden themes that homeowners will be able to integrate seamlessly into their lifestyles, creating gardens that they can live in today and enjoy well into the future.
